Events
Conversations, gatherings, and learning opportunities that bring people and ideas together.
The Forum hosts and highlights opportunities for citizens to gather around ideas, questions, and models for strengthening democracy. Our events are designed to encourage thoughtful conversation, not debate for debate’s sake. They give members and participants a chance to explore public issues, share work in progress, and consider how citizens can engage more constructively in America’s future.
What to Expect
Forum events may include:
- Member presentations
- Online conversations
- Constitutional discussions
- Featured essays or speaker programs
- Special programs connected to America’s 250th anniversary
- Conversations about emerging models and civic initiatives
America at 250
Our events—and those hosted by partner organizations—bring together the three pillars of our work: Conversations, Ideas, and Action.

Join the Conversation
America’s 250th anniversary is a time to look back — and to think seriously about what kind of democracy we want to carry forward. The Forum invites citizens, educators, community leaders, and others interested in civic renewal to explore new essays, emerging models, events, and conversations about how we can talk, think, and participate more constructively in democracy’s next chapter.
